Story and characters

Synopsis:

In 1840, the blight had overrun on the land of Irish since the Skullgoragh, Patrick Flynn's place, burned down by Mr Graystone and forces them to flee into America. Patricia Fulmen, an 8 year old tough survivior, whom her village, Dunlow, also burned down. Despite how harsh the enviroment, Patricia remains strong, energetic and helpful and quite adventurous despite how harsh it is. She met a 35 year old vagabond, Taylor Johnson, an ex- soldier, who saves her from his junior who trying to beat her for stealing his food. Taylor took Patricia in and adopting her, she felt safe and grateful that Taylor gave her his food and feeding her. There they met a gypsy girl name Camelia and become her mother and then met her friend, Sam and his father, Seth. Sam manage to escape as his father was captured and sent him to jail for murder and robbery.
They manage to America to settling their life as a new family and Patricia is now 20 years old and become a college student to become a writer while Sam become an engineer and Patricia's foster father, Taylor married with Camelia and had a daughter.


Character:

Patricia Fulmen:
The only survivor of her village, Dunlow. She's 8 years old and having a harsh enviroment, she was given food from the kind rich family, especially Mr Silverstone,who, unlike Mr Graystone, he has sympathy towards the poor and will giving them money and food as seen he saved her from the thug tries to hit her for pick-pocketing the food, he gave her food that she wanted so much. Unlike Patrick Flynn, she always stays happy and never felt pain of her hunger and she form a bond with Sam, like siblings. Despite her age, Patricia has a minds of independence, since she became an orphan. She also brave and somehow kind and helpful and as well grateful and friendly, such when she met a boy named Tucker with his adoptive daughter and giving her food, Mr Silverstone saved her from the cruel money loaner and of course, Taylor Johnson, who saved her from the soldier who tries to hit her for stealing his food and became bond with him. She and Taylor became close as he fed her and give her a clean bath and of course sleep with him, that she had never felt before and she become secure when he is around and of course Taylor hugged her when she is frightened.  She also shown to be cheerful and modest, such as she laugh at Taylor and Camelia fighting each other, and somehow suspicious about Sam's father, Seth's lies, only she, Taylor and Camelia knows he's stealing, though Sam doesn't believe them. However, she can forgive anyone even they had commited their crime.

Taylor Johnson:
A 30 year old vagabond who retired from the civil war. His wife and daughter died during the "Great Hunger" when he was 29. He rescues Patricia from his juniors who tries to hit her, showing his gentle towards kids and gave a sarcastic answer that she has a right to steal a food since she's poor. Meeting her had made Taylor reminded her of his dead daughter, and he shows some fatherly-bond with her by fed her, bathe her and of course slept with her and began to adopt her, to keep her comfort. He left the troops to join Patricia's adventure to sail to America since she's very young and he is shown to be very protective of her, such as fights off the hungry-looking Irish people tries to attack them with his rifle(He had enough shooting so he hits them) and then taking Patricia somewhere safe to keep her away from witnessed the Dragoons attacks the people. He often had an antagonistic towards to Camelia and soon warm up to her, as he believes her that Seth did steal the money from the rich Landlord. However, he shown to be forgiving and would like to adopt Sam as his son and soon married Camelia and became a American rancher and also a business man to help Patricia and Sam.
